No video of the event yet, sorry!

Fedora Silverblue is a variant of the Fedora Workstation which uses rpm-ostree to provide an immutable OS image with reliable updates and easy rollbacks, and flatpak to provide stable apps that are independent from the OS.

The concrete goals of the Team Silverblue project are to provide excellent support for container-based workflows and make Silverblue the preferred variant of Fedora Workstation. We want to reach these goals by the time Fedora 30 is released.

In this presentation, I will introduce Silverblue, show what is working well and what we still have to do. I may also touch on the challenges of starting an initiative like this in the context of a large and mature project like Fedora.
